The new position will help the College expand opportunities for students.

The USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences recently appointed a new director of college diversity, a new position created this year. George Sanchez is a current professor of American studies and ethnicity. "[Sanchez] will work with our many departments so that we can address what the commitment to diversity means in various disciplinary settings," said Howard Gillman, dean of the College, in a memorandum sent to its faculty.…
